How to use and print digital sewing pattern at home?
Hello, guys if I sewing (like me) and like to go check on Hobby Lobby, Michael that kind of the craft shop, and check on their pattern section. Now thank for all the high technology, we can print pattern we love at home in ANYTIME we want!
This tutorial is for the big piece of the pattern, if your pattern is separate pages then you start read step 5!
+ Tools you need:
1. Adobe reader (*Free) 2. Home printer ($49 ~ $99 ) 3. Clear tape ($2~3)
—————————–
HOW? How is that work? Let me show you how!
1. If you buying our pattern here before, you will usually get a “Zip” file, because we include PDF pattern and tutorial step by step, so the file usually kind of big, and we like to give you fast and deliver quickly for you, so we just Zip it, and you don’t need to worry about what if I can’t unzip the file, all the computer can unzip file really easily, like below …..
On MAC system, you only need to click the Zip file 2 times, and they will automatically unzip for you
On PC system, you can click right button of you mouse, and choose to unzip file button!
2. Open your PDF file
Go download Adobe reader (*Free) then you can open PDF file easily.
3. Start Printing
Open the pattern file —> print —> Poster (* DO NOT change the size/scale or fit for page)
I will suggest you print the “Test Square” first, to make sure your pattern size is right, so you won’t waste much of paper, and make sure the partial overlapping setting is smallest is better! (0.002~0.005 inch is good.)
4. Get your Pattern from a printer.
5. Tape them together!
Recommend to use magic tape is easy to fix and not too sticky, you can get it at Kroger, Walmart easily.
Usually, the side will have some mark, and you can see by the picture to tell how to match them together. (Preview in the right down corner)
6. See the whole size of pattern
Then you can decide to trace on other paper or cut them out and start cutting fabric.
